Global Perspectives on People, Power, and History (GPPPH)
A Peer-Reviewed, Open-Access Journal Published by the Virtual University of Pakistan.
The Editorial Board of Global Perspectives on People, Power, and History invites submissions for its upcoming issue. The journal provides an inclusive platform for original, high-quality research that advances theoretical and empirical understanding of social, political, and historical processes in national, regional, and global contexts.
We welcome contributions from scholars, researchers, and practitioners across the humanities and social sciences.
Themes of Interest (not limited to):
- Colonial and postcolonial legacies in South Asia (pre- and post-1947)
- Nationalism across eras: colonial foundations and post-independence transformations
- Political ideologies in Pakistan
- Social hierarchies, identity politics, and intersectionality (ethnicity, class, gender)
- Governance, civil-military relations, and constitutional development
- Social movements, civil society, and political resistance
- Memory, historiography, and the politics of history
- Cultural expressions, media, and popular discourse
- Diasporas, transnationalism, and globalization
- Comparative and regional studies relating to Pakistan
- Diplomacy, foreign policy, and strategic relations with regional and global powers
- National security and counterterrorism
- Nuclear politics, arms competition, and deterrence in South Asia
- Religious pluralism and the dynamics of coexistence
📝 Submission Guidelines
- Research Articles: 6,000–8,000 words
- Review Articles: 4,000–6,000 words
- Book Reviews: 1,500–2,500 words
- Short Essays/Commentaries: 2,000–3,000 words
All manuscripts must adhere to the APA 7th edition style, be double-spaced in Times New Roman (12 pt.), and submitted in Microsoft Word format.
