Editorial Ethics
Global Perspectives on People, Power, and History (GPPPH) adheres to the highest standards of academic integrity and follows the ethical policies of HEC in line with COPE guidelines. The Editors and Editorial Board are committed to maintaining the quality and credibility of the journal and shall:
- Ensure the selection of manuscripts is based solely on scholarly merit, without discrimination based on gender, race, ethnicity, religion, culture, political affiliation, seniority, or institutional association.
- Exercise full authority to accept or reject submissions according to the journal’s publishing policies and quality standards.
- Oversee a strict double-blind peer-review process for all submissions.
- Avoid handling submissions where conflicts of interest may exist.
- Appoint and manage members of the Editorial and Advisory Boards.
- Ensure all manuscripts undergo plagiarism checks in accordance with HEC policies.
- Facilitate smooth journal operations, including regular editorial board meetings and timely communication with authors.
- Maintain confidentiality of manuscripts prior to publication.
- Implement corrections to published content when required, based on author requests or verified evidence.
Author Ethics
Authors submitting to GPPPH are expected to uphold ethical research and publishing standards:
- Only individuals who have made significant intellectual contributions should be listed as authors; co-authors should be credited for specific contributions.
- Authors are fully responsible for the originality, authenticity, and accuracy of their work.
- All sources must be properly cited to allow reproducibility of results.
- Manuscripts must not be submitted to other journals during the review process.
- Authors must disclose any conflicts of interest.
- Raw data must be provided if requested to verify research validity.
- Authors should respond to reviewer feedback with detailed explanations of revisions.
- Decisions of rejection can be appealed by contacting the Editor-in-Chief.
Reviewer Ethics
Reviewers of GPPPH must ensure objective, professional, and confidential evaluations:
- Provide unbiased and constructive feedback without personal criticism of authors.
- Treat manuscripts as strictly confidential documents.
- Declare any potential conflicts of interest and decline review if necessary.
- Submit reviews punctually or notify the Editor of delays promptly.
- Report suspected plagiarism or duplicate submissions.
- Acknowledge that the final decision regarding publication rests with the Editor, regardless of reviewer recommendations.
