Journal of Psychology: Research & Practice (JPRP)

The Journal of Psychology: Research & Practice (JPRP) invites submissions of original research articles, review papers, technical reports, and case studies for its inaugural issue.

JPRP is a peer-reviewed, open-access scholarly journal established by the Department of Psychology, Virtual University of Pakistan. The journal aims to provide a dynamic platform for contemporary research across diverse branches of psychology. It encourages innovative, evidence-based, and cross-disciplinary studies that bridge theory and practice, contributing to the advancement of psychological science in both academic and applied contexts.

Scope of the Journal

JPRP welcomes manuscripts from all areas of psychology, including but not limited to:

• Clinical and Counseling Psychology – Assessment, diagnosis, intervention, psychotherapy, and mental health promotion.
• Health Psychology – Behavioral medicine, psychosomatic research, and the psychological aspects of illness and wellness.
• Developmental Psychology – Cognitive, emotional, and social development across the lifespan.
• Educational and School Psychology – Learning processes, academic motivation, student well-being, and educational interventions.
• Social and Cultural Psychology – Social behavior, attitudes, identity, and cross-cultural perspectives.
• Industrial-Organizational Psychology – Workplace behavior, leadership, motivation, and organizational development.
• Cognitive and Neuropsychology – Memory, perception, attention, and brain-behavior relationships.
• Personality and Individual Differences – Psychometrics, personality structure, and behavior prediction.
• Digital and Applied Psychology – Human-technology interaction, AI perception, and cyberpsychology.
• Forensic and Legal Psychology – Psychological assessment in legal contexts and offender rehabilitation.

• Submission Deadline: November 10, 2025

Guidelines for Submissions

• Submissions must be in English.
• Manuscripts should be submitted through https://journal.vu.edu.pk/JPRP
• and emailed to jprp@vu.edu.pk
• A separate title page must include the author’s name, mailing address, phone number, and email.
• Authors must also submit:
  • Author(s) Contribution form
  • Originality & Anti-Plagiarism Certificate
• Manuscripts should be approximately [insert word limit, e.g., 5,000–7,000 words].
• Papers must include at least 25-30 scholarly references (books and peer-reviewed journal articles).
• All references must follow APA 7th Edition style.
• Authors are responsible for preparing graphs, tables, and charts where required.

Ethics & Review Process

• All submissions undergo a double-blind peer-review process.
• Manuscripts will be screened for plagiarism.
• JPRP adheres to the Committee on Publication Ethics (COPE) standards for ethical publishing.
