Corrections & Retractions

ISSN: 3106-6569(Online), 3106-6550(Print)

The Journal of Psychology: Research & Practice encourages authors, reviewers, and readers to report errors, scientific misconduct, or concerns that may affect the accuracy or interpretation of published work.

A. Corrigenda

  • Corrigenda are issued to correct factual errors that may affect the interpretation of published data.
  • Minor issues such as grammatical mistakes, formatting, or spelling are not eligible.
  • Corrigenda are linked to the original article and published free of charge.

B. Retractions

  • Retractions follow COPE guidelines and are issued when errors or misconduct (e.g., data fabrication, plagiarism, ethical violations) invalidate results or conclusions.
  • Retracted articles are marked as “RETRACTED,” linked to the original paper, and published promptly with a clear explanation.
  • Authors are encouraged to cooperate, though editors may initiate retractions if necessary.

C. Expression of Concern

  • Editors may issue an Expression of Concern if serious doubts arise about a publication while an investigation is ongoing.
  • This alerts readers to potential issues but may precede a formal retraction.

D. Withdrawal of Articles

  • Articles may be withdrawn only in cases of legal infringement, defamation, or data that pose serious risks.
  • A retraction notice is published to maintain the scientific record, explaining the reason for withdrawal.

This policy ensures transparency, integrity, and the reliability of the journal’s published content.
