The Journal of Emerging Data Intelligence (JEDI) is a peer-reviewed, open-access research journal dedicated to advancing statistical thinking and data-driven innovation across disciplines. Published biannually from Pakistan, JEDI provides a global platform for scholars and practitioners to share original research, methodologies, and applications that address real-world challenges through data intelligence. Guided by an international editorial board of statisticians, data scientists, and interdisciplinary experts, JEDI upholds rigorous peer-review standards and is committed to fostering a collaborative scholarly ecosystem. The journal seeks to bridge the gap between theory and practice, promote responsible use of data, and contribute to high-impact, cross-disciplinary solutions.
- Aim & Scope
The Journal of Emerging Data Intelligence (JEDI) aims to foster scholarly exchange and innovation at the intersection of statistical methodology and interdisciplinary applications. The journal publishes original research, methodological advances, and applied studies that utilize statistical tools and data-driven techniques to address complex problems across diverse fields.
Scope includes, but is not limited to:
- Public Health, Medicine & Life Sciences: Biostatistics, epidemiology, health informatics, predictive models.
- Education & Social Sciences: Learning analytics, psychometrics, digital education data, survey analysis.
- Environmental & Climate Studies: Climate modelling, sustainability analytics, environmental risk assessment.
- Economics & Business: Econometrics, financial modelling, market intelligence, customer analytics.
- Engineering & Technology: Reliability analysis, quality control, IoT and smart systems data.
- Artificial Intelligence & Machine Learning: Statistical learning, big data analytics, AI-driven decision systems.
- Statistical Models & Algorithms: Development, evaluation, and application of novel methods.
- Policy, Ethics & Society: Responsible data use, privacy, governance, and ethical AI applications.

To advance the integration of statistical thinking into interdisciplinary research by publishing high-quality, peer-reviewed articles that promote innovative solutions, foster collaboration across disciplines, and contribute to the responsible and ethical use of data in research and practice.
- Authors Guidelines
We welcome good-quality submissions from researchers, practitioners, and academics worldwide.
2.1 Manuscript Types
- Articles: Full-length original research papers.
- Reviews: Comprehensive overviews of recent progress in a field.
- Communications: Short papers reporting significant preliminary findings.
- Case Studies: Applied studies showing real-world impact.
- Other Formats (such as, book reviews, methodological notes) may be considered upon editorial approval.
2.2 Submission Process
- Manuscripts should be submitted through the online system or via email.
- There are no submission or processing charges.
- A confirmation email will be sent once the manuscript is received.
2.3 Manuscript Preparation
- Format: Microsoft Word or LaTeX (Folder).
- Length: No strict word limit, but manuscripts should be concise and comprehensive. We can include page limit
- Title Page: Include article title, full author names, affiliations, and the corresponding author’s contact email.
- Abstract: Maximum 250 words, followed by 4–6 keywords.
- Structure: Introduction, Materials and Methods, Results, Discussion, Conclusions and Recommendations.
- Figures and Tables: Inserted in the main text, numbered sequentially, with captions.
- References: Follow APA 7th Edition style.
2.4 Peer Review and Editorial Process
- All manuscripts undergo an initial editorial screening.
- Submissions passing the screening are sent to at least two independent experts for single-blind peer review.
- Authors may be asked to revise their manuscript based on reviewer feedback.
- The final decision rests with the Editor-in-Chief.
2.5. Ethical Standards
- Submissions must be original and free from plagiarism.
- Research involving humans or animals must state approval from an ethics committee and informed consent, where applicable.
- Authors must declare any financial or personal conflicts of interest.
2.6. Open Access Policy
- JEDI is an open access journal.
- All articles are published under the Creative Commons Attribution (CC BY 4.0) license, allowing unrestricted use, distribution, and reproduction, provided the original work is properly cited.
- Authors retain copyright.
2.7. Article Processing Charges (APCs)
- No APCs are charged for the inaugural issues.
- APC policy will be updated once the journal applies for indexing and international recognition.
- Peer Review Process
The Journal of Emerging Data Intelligence (JEDI) follows a double-blind peer review system to ensure academic integrity, fairness, and high-quality scholarly contributions. Both authors and reviewers remain anonymous throughout the review process.
3.1. Submission and Initial Screening
Upon submission, the Editorial Office conducts an initial evaluation to ensure that:
- The topic aligns with the journal’s aims and scope
- The manuscript meets formatting, referencing, and ethical standards
- The content is original and free from plagiarism (verified through similarity-detection software)
Manuscripts that do not meet these criteria may be returned to the authors for revision or declined at this stage.
3.2. Reviewer Assignment
Manuscripts passing the initial screening are assigned to two or more qualified reviewers with relevant academic and research expertise. Reviewers are selected based on subject specialization and experience.
3.3. Review Process
Reviewers evaluate the manuscript based on:
- Relevance and significance of the study
- Clarity of objectives and research questions
- Methodological rigor and accuracy of data analysis
- Originality and contribution to the field
- Organization, academic writing quality, and referencing style
Reviewers provide a detailed report and recommend one of the following decisions:
- Accept
- Minor Revision
- Major Revision
- Reject
3.4. Editorial Decision
The Editor-in-Chief and Editors review all reports and make the final decision. Constructive feedback is communicated to the authors for improvement.
3.5. Revision and Re-evaluation
Authors are required to revise the manuscript according to the reviewers’ comments. Revised papers may be re-evaluated by the same reviewers or by the editorial team to confirm that all concerns have been addressed satisfactorily.
3.6. Final Acceptance and Publication
Once accepted, the manuscript undergoes copyediting, proofreading, and formatting. The corresponding author reviews the final proof prior to publication.
3.7 Review Timeline
The standard review timeline is 3–4 weeks, depending on reviewer availability and the complexity of the manuscript.
- Open Access, Licensing and Copyright
4.1 Open Access
JEDI is a fully open-access journal. All articles are freely available immediately upon publication, with no subscription or embargo period.
4.2 Licensing
Articles are published under the CC BY-NC 4.0 License, allowing sharing and adaptation for non-commercial purposes with proper attribution.
4.3 Copyright
Authors retain the copyright of their work and grant JEDI the rights to publish and distribute it under the CC BY-NC 4.0 license.
Each article is assigned a DOI and preserved in trusted repositories to ensure long-term accessibility and citation.
4.4 Indexing
JEDI is in the process of being indexed in:
Google Scholar, CrossRef, DOAJ, ROAJ, and ROAD.
Future indexing goals include Scopus, Web of Science, and HEC recognition.

All content published in the Journal of Emerging Data Intelligence (JEDI)—including titles, abstracts, and full-text articles—is freely accessible on our official website. The journal follows a fully open-access policy, allowing readers to download, read, and share all published material without any subscription fees or access restrictions.
There are no charges for online access, and all issues are available in full on the journal’s website.
