Peer Review Process

All manuscripts submitted to the Journal of Modern Trends in Mathematical Sciences (JMTMS) undergo a double-blind peer-review process to ensure the quality, originality, and relevance of published research.

1. Initial Screening

Upon submission, each manuscript is first reviewed by the Editorial Team to evaluate:

  • Its relevance to the aims and scope of the journal,

  • Compliance with submission and formatting guidelines, and

  • Adherence to ethical standards and plagiarism policies.

Manuscripts that do not meet these preliminary criteria may be returned to authors for correction or declined at this stage.

2. Double-Blind Review

Manuscripts passing the initial screening are assigned to at least two independent reviewers who are experts in the relevant area of mathematics.

  • Both the authors’ and reviewers’ identities remain confidential throughout the process to maintain impartiality.

  • Reviewers are selected based on their academic expertise, research background, and objectivity.

  • The peer-review process aims to provide constructive feedback that enhances the quality and clarity of the manuscript.

3. Review Criteria

Each manuscript is evaluated according to the following key criteria:

  • Originality and significance of the research contribution

  • Mathematical rigor, validity, and correctness of results

  • Clarity, structure, and organization of the presentation

  • Relevance to the aims and scope of JMTMS

  • Appropriate referencing and acknowledgement of related work

4. Editorial Decision

After receiving the reviewers’ reports, the Editor or Editorial Board makes one of the following decisions:

  • Accept the manuscript for publication (with or without minor revisions)

  • Request minor revisions (editorial or structural improvements)

  • Request major revisions (substantial modification and resubmission)

  • Reject the manuscript (if it does not meet the required standards)

Authors will receive detailed feedback explaining the decision and, if applicable, guidance for revision and resubmission. Revised manuscripts are re-evaluated before a final publication decision is made.
