Book Review Guidelines

Purpose of Book Reviews 
The Journal publishes analytical and well-argued reviews of recently published scholarly books relevant to education, social sciences, and related fields. Reviews should evaluate the book’s contribution, strengths, limitations, and relevance for contemporary scholarship and practice. 
Eligibility for Review 
We accept reviews of: 

  • Academic books published within the last 5 years 
  • Research monographs, edited volumes, and scholarly texts 

We do NOT accept: 

  1. Textbooks 
  2. Popular literature or self-help books 
  3. Promotional content 

Length & Formatting 

  1. Word Count: 1,200–2,000 words 
  2. Font: Times New Roman, 12 pt 
  3. Spacing: 1.5 
  4. Margins: 1 inch 
  5. File Format: Microsoft Word (.docx) 
  6. Referencing: APA 7th Edition 

Required Structure 
Authors must organize the review using the following sections: 

1. Title of the Review 
Clear, descriptive title including the book title and critical lens. 

2. Reviewer Information 
Full Name, Affiliation, Email Address, ORCID (optional) 

3. Full Book Details 
Format: 
Author(s). (Year). Title of the book. Publisher. Pages. ISBN. 

4. Abstract (100–150 words) 
Summary of the book and your evaluative stance. 

5. Introduction 
Context, author background, purpose of the book, and scope of the review. 

6. Overview of Content 
Concise thematic summary—not chapter-by-chapter. 

7. Critical Evaluation 
Discuss: 
Strengths , Weaknesses , Gaps , Comparison with related works, Contribution to the field 

8.  Relevance & Application 
Book’s usefulness for researchers, teachers, policymakers, etc. 

9. Conclusion 
Clear, balanced final evaluation and targeted audience. 

11. References 
APA 7 format, only sources cited. 

Writing Style 
Academic and objective 
Third-person preferred 
Clear and concise paragraphs 
Avoid excessive summary 
Avoid promotional tone 

Submission Checklist 

  1. Book published within the last 5 years
  2. Word count within limits 
  3. APA 7 followed 
  4. Review includes both strengths and weaknesses 
  5. File is .docx
  6. Similarity index below 15% 

Ethical Requirements 
Declare conflicts of interest 
No simultaneous submissions 
AI tools must be disclosed and edited for accuracy 

Editorial Review Process
