Plagiarism Policy

The Journal of Social Practices strictly adheres to the HEC guidelines and criteria concerning the Turnitin Originality Report and all forms of plagiarism. Every submitted manuscript undergoes plagiarism screening through Turnitin software. Manuscripts with a similarity index exceeding 19% is not considered for further processing.

  • Authors are responsible for ensuring their work is free from all forms of plagiarism, including paraphrasing and self-plagiarism.
  • Submissions must represent entirely original work, with proper acknowledgement and citation of all sources used.
  • The Turnitin Similarity Index must be below 19%
  • Any instance of plagiarism, data fabrication, or image manipulation is strictly prohibited.
  • Reused text from other sources must be enclosed in quotation marks and properly cited.
  • If plagiarism is identified during peer review, the manuscript may be rejected; if discovered after publication, a correction or retraction may be issued.

Use of Artificial Intelligence (AI)

The Journal of Social Practices follows the ethical recommendations of the Committee on Publication Ethics (COPE)  regarding the responsible use of AI in scholarly publishing. Failure to disclose AI use or misuse of AI tools may be considered a violation of publication ethics.
