The Journal of Social Practices (JSP)
Publication of the Department of Sociology, Virtual University of Pakistan
The Department of Sociology, Virtual University of Pakistan, is pleased to announce the launch of its new peer-reviewed academic journal, The Journal of Social Practices (JSP). The journal seeks to disseminate knowledge on social practices within indigenous, national, and international contexts. Our mission is to promote awareness of positive and negative practices, foster balanced societies, and contribute to the understanding of how cultural, social, and institutional practices shape human life.
We welcome contributions that explore theoretical, empirical, and applied perspectives on social practices, with a special emphasis on indigenous knowledge, local traditions, and global perspectives.
Guidelines for Submissions
- Submissions must be in English.
- Manuscripts should be submitted through https://journal.vu.edu.pk/Home.aspx?journal=JSP and emailed to JSP@vu.edu.pk
- A separate title page must include the author’s name, mailing address, phone number, and email.
- Authors must also submit:
- Author(s) Contribution form
- Originality & Anti-Plagiarism Certificate
- Manuscripts should be approximately [insert word limit, e.g., 5,000–7,000 words].
- Papers must include at least 25-30 scholarly references (books and peer-reviewed journal articles).
- All references must follow APA 7th Edition style.
- Authors are responsible for preparing graphs, tables, and charts where required.
