Al-Nazaʾir: Journal of Modern Religious Discourses (NJMRD) is a bi-annual, tri-lingual (Urdu, English, and Arabic) research journal of Religious Studies and relevant domains with an ISSN: 3106-8111(P) / 3106-812X(E). The journal is double-blind peer reviewed, as well as an open-access research journal. It is published by the Department of Islamic Studies, the Virtual University of Pakistan.
The journal warmly welcomes high-quality and scholarly research, particularly in the areas of the Qur’ān, Ḥadīth, Sīrah, Islamic History, and Jurisprudence. It also encourages submissions from related fields such as politics, economics, law, and social sciences, provided they have a clear connection to Islam.
SCOPE OF THE JOURNAL
Al-Nazaʾir: Journal of Modern Religious Discourses (NJMRD) is a multidisciplinary academic publication devoted to the advancement and dissemination of scholarly research related to Islam and the Muslim world. The journal gives special emphasis to studies focusing on the Qur’an, Ḥadīth, Sīrah, Shariah, Islamic law and jurisprudence, comparative religion, interfaith dialogue, history and civilization, political and social thought, literature, international relations, and issues related to environment and development all through the lens of Islam and its intellectual tradition. Submissions are welcome in Urdu, English, and Arabic, particularly those that offer valuable insights in both global and Pakistani contexts. Authors intending to submit their work are advised to carefully review the journal’s scope, formatting, and referencing guidelines prior to submission.
