Authors' Guidelines & Submit a Manuscript

We invite high-quality, original manuscripts that align with the journal's scope. Authors are expected to follow these guidelines:

  • Manuscripts must be written in clear academic English.
  • Submissions must be original and not under review elsewhere.
  • Manuscripts should be formatted according to the ICET template .

A. Scope
We invite high-quality, original manuscripts that align with the ICET journal's scope. Submissions must be original and not under review elsewhere.

B. Article Types

  1. Research Articles: Original research (4,000–5,000 words).
  2. Review Articles: Comprehensive surveys of a specific field (5,000–7,000 words). These must present a novel synthesis, critique, or perspective on the topic.
  3. Short Communications: Brief reports on significant preliminary findings or new methods (2,000–3,000 words).

C. Manuscript Preparation
Structure:
Manuscripts must be written in clear academic English and should include the following sections in order:

  • Title
  • Abstract (150–250 words)
  • Keywords (3–6)
  • Introduction (must state the research problem, objectives, and key contributions)
  • Literature Review
  • Methodology (must provide sufficient detail for reproducibility, including algorithms, datasets, and experimental setup)
  • Results & Discussion
  • Conclusion and Future Work (must be a distinct section summarizing findings and outlining specific future directions)
  • Citation & References (in IEEE style)

Formatting:

  • Manuscripts should be formatted according to the ICET Template Download: ICET Template.
  • References must conform to IEEE referencing guidelines.
  • All figures and tables must be high-resolution, legible, and include descriptive captions.
  • Authors are strongly encouraged to provide links to publicly available code, data, and models in a reputable repository (e.g., GitHub, Zenodo).

D. Submission Procedure

E. Peer Review Process

  1. Screening: All submissions undergo an initial editorial screening for scope, formatting, and overall quality.
  2. Review: Suitable manuscripts are sent for double-blind peer review by at least two independent experts.
  3. Decision: The first decision is typically provided within 6-8 weeks. Outcomes include: Accept, Minor Revision, Major Revision, or Reject.
  4. Revisions: For invited revisions, authors must submit:
    • The revised manuscript with all changes highlighted.
    • A detailed 'Response to Reviewers' document addressing every comment point-by-point.

F. Post-Acceptance

  1. Final Files: Upon acceptance, authors may be required to submit high-resolution source files for figures.
  2. Proofs: Corresponding authors will receive galley proofs for final check. Changes at this stage are restricted to typesetting errors.
  3. License: Authors retain copyright and agree to publish under a Creative Commons Attribution (CC-BY) license.
  4. Cover Letter (optional): A cover letter is required upon acceptance of the paper and must include the following:
  • A statement highlighting the manuscript's novelty and significance.
  • A declaration confirming the originality of the work.
  • The proposed article type (e.g., Research, Review, etc.).

G. Publication fees 

Currently, no publication fees are charged. However, this may be reviewed in the future with prior notice to contributors.
