Exploring the Influence of Educational Technology Integration on Student Engagement and Learning Dynamics at the Secondary Level in Lahore

Abstract:
The learning of educational technology in secondary education has become an issue of the day in terms of better student interaction and learning processes. In Lahore, digital tools are increasingly used in classrooms to enhance students’ interaction and the process of learning. This paper will seek to address the impact of the integration of educational technology on student engagement and learning at the secondary school level. The study employed a quantitative descriptive research design. A total of 68 secondary school students were surveyed using a structured Likert-scale questionnaire. The data was analyzed with the help of descriptive statistics and the Pearson correlation analysis. The results show that the integration of educational technology and student involvement has a great positive correlation. When digital tools like multimedia resources and interactive technologies were introduced in teaching, students became more motivated and actively engaged, and their understanding improved. Also, the use of technology-based learning environments supported collaborative learning and dynamism in classrooms. Nevertheless, such issues as insufficient infrastructure, inadequate teacher education, and inequality in access to technological means were noted as obstacles to successful implementation. The research finds that educational technology has a critical role in improving the interest of students and changing the dynamics of learning at the secondary level. It suggests enhancing teacher education, improving technological access, and providing equitable access to digital resources as a way of maximizing the benefits of the integration of educational technologies.
